Holocaust Educational Trust

Objective

The PR Office put in place a PR programme to raise the profile of the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET) in the media and positioned it as the leading organisation in the field of holocaust education.

Implementation

The PR Office provided a comprehensive and creative press office service. It found opportunities for HET to respond both proactively and reactively to stories in both the national and international media and arrangeed media attendance at the charity’s events and school visits to Auschwitz. It also offered key spokespeople for interview including the charity’s chief executive, Karen Pollock MBE.

Results

Regular and widespread coverage in national broadcast and print media. The charity became a ‘go to’ organisation for journalists who want authoritative comment on the holocaust and associated issues. This exposure helped raise and sustain awareness of the Holocaust among new audiences and ensured it remained on the UK curriculum.
